Mike Plumlee has worked in the financial sector since 1989, giving him 30 years of experience in personal wealth planning strategies. He is a financial advisor and the current owner and President of MPAC Consulting Group. He has a loyal customer base because of his prudent and realistic approach to management. His only mission is to protect and preserve his clients’ assets. He is a renowned expert in money management, asset protection, tax reduction, estate planning, and financial planning.
Mike first earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. His original goal was to enter the field of Law, but during his time at school, he realized that he had a natural interest in, and talent for, finance. By the time he graduated, he was able to use his knowledge and experience to immediately get his first job at Dean Witter. He gained a lot of experience during his time working there, as well as the realization that bigger firms must meet quotas, which translates to customers paying for unnecessary transactions and fees in order to fulfill a firm’s profit margin. The customer wasn’t the priority. Mike Plumlee decided to provide people with a more honest alternative to money management and eventually, Mike decided to start his own firm.
He founded MPAC as a way to create his own network of experts to provide clients with the best possible financial guidance based on honor, integrity, loyalty, and complete transparency. Being independently owned and operated also means that MPAC abides by the “fiduciary standard,” whereby all advice and guidance have the clients’ best interests in mind. This is a much more client-focused approach than Wall Street-owned firms, who tend to focus more on profit margins. MPAC’s customers range in size from individuals and small-business owners to large corporations, and he and his team work tirelessly to protect all of their futures. Over the past 20 years, Mike Plumlee has built a solid reputation as being a man of the people because of the way he and his team interact with clients. Instead of talking down to people or lecturing them, they sit back and listen to their stories and goals for the future, without making assumptions or telling people what they should/should not do with their money. His firm lets people come to their own conclusions about reaching objectives. They recently joined the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and received A+ accreditation, as well as becoming part of the American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA), a nonprofit organization that educates communities about finances.
Mike Plumlee is a proud Dallas native and currently lives there with his wife and two children. When he isn’t working, Mike spends most of his time with his family and participating in his favorite hobbies, golf and sailing.
